At least 62 Chibok girls who were abducted by the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, has been released. The girls were released Saturday and are currently in Banki, close to the Nigerian-Cameroonian border. A source who spoke to Al Jazeera said their release may be as a result of negotiations by the Buhari administration.
This release will be one of the most massive release of the over 200 girls who were abducted from their school in 2014. It would be recalled that 21 of the girls were released October 2016.
